Day 1: Mekele – Danakil Depression – Erta Ale Volcano

Drive from Mekelle to Dodom, the starting point to explore the Danakil Depression. From the Dodom base camp, begin a 3-hour trek to Erta Ale Volcano. Erta Ale Volcano is the world’s only continuously active lava lake. At night, enjoy a spectacular view of glowing lava, eruptions, and volcanic activity.

Day 2: Erta Ale – Hamad Ela
