Cost of Visa on Arrival:
Visa fee payment is accepted only in US Dollars or the equivalent in Euros or British Pounds. No other currencies are accepted. It is advisable to bring smaller denominations to ensure you receive correct change. The table below shows the costs for single-entry tourist visas on arrival for 30 and 90 days. For visas expiring in 1-15 days, you can apply for an extension online.
For visas expiring in more than 15 days, you must apply in person at the Immigration and Citizenship Service headquarters.
The main office of the Ethiopian Immigration and Citizenship Service is located in the Gotera area. Be sure to apply at least five days before your current visa expires, as the process can take a few days. The visa extension fee is between 102 USD.
